Where We've Been

The last time I posted to this blog we were packing up and heading to OBX for our annual family vacation. So much has happened since that last post I don't even know where to begin. So here is  what we've been up to for the last 10 months :

While on vacation we discovered some life changing news: I was pregnant with our second child! We were beyond excited and nervous at the same time. What would life look like with two children?! We tried but couldn't keep the secret very long because morning sickness kicked my behind and people could easily guess what was going on. I mean,  who has a stomach bug for 20 weeks? ha! This pregnancy was so different, right down to the delivery, but I will post about that some other time. It was really hard to keep up with life being so sick for so long but we are back!

Amidst the pregnancy and preparation for the new baby, our son Eli turned 2 years old. It is mind boggling the amount of growth that happens in a toddler. He turned two years old and his vocabulary seemed to have multiplied by a thousand overnight. He is now potty trained and can recite the alphabet to the letter f without coaching, he recognizes 4 shapes and 5 colors. He can ride a bike (with training wheels of course), and he simply catches onto everything in a matter of minutes. He is such a smart kid and the sweetest boy in the world. He loves to be around people and he so thoughtful. He very much into trains, fire trucks, and dinosaurs and loves to learn about them. Needless to say, I love this little guy so much and I'm beyond impressed with him each day.

Fast forwarding a little, we found out we were having another boy due May 12. We decided on the name Silas Maxwell. Silas being the missionary companion to the apostle Paul in the Bible, we fell in love with the name.

The holidays came and went, and we continued to prepare for life with two little boys. We were showered by love and TONS of gifts from family, friends, and co-workers. L.C. got a new job working for a much larger accounting firm.

On May 2, 2016 at 6:52am Silas Maxwell made our little family of 3 into a family 4. I feel like I am complete now.

So here we are now. My so much has changed. I am definitely looking forward to blogging regularly again. See you guys real soon!

Love,

Kellye
